Students Take Top Honors in Speech and Theatre Competition

Students in the Department of Arts and Communications made an impressive trophy haul at the South Carolina Speech and Theatre Association College Festival Competition held Feb. 11, at Claflin University. Working under the direction of professors Pat Gagliano and Mandy Butler, the following students were recognized for their outstanding work:

Kaneesha Penny, 1st Place - Prose Interpretation

Samantha Muster, 2nd Place - Poetry Interpretation

Copeland Brown, 1st Place - Musical Theatre Audition

Amber Coleman, 2nd Place - Musical Theatre Audition
