Newberry College's Daniel Nations received All-SAC Second Team

Daniel Nations from Central, SC received All-SAC Second Team.

Nations tabs his second distinction from the conference after being named honorable mention a year ago. The junior was 3-1 with five saves and a 1.47 ERA. He made the fifth most appearances in the league with 22 and was fourth in saves. In his 30.2 innings pitched opposing batters hit just .217 off him while striking out 42 hitters and walking only nine. In conference action he posted a 0.73 ERA in nine appearances. He tallied all three wins and two saves while surrendering just one run.

The Newberry College Wolves continue to set records on the diamond this season. The Wolves have 10 different representatives on the All-South Atlantic Conference teams, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. Newberry's 10 members and 13 awards are the most of any team in the conference with regular season champion Catawba second with six representatives and 10 honors. Previously, the most all-SAC honorees for any scarlet and gray squad was seven, set last season.
