Alli Wimberly of the Newberry College Cheerleading team takes first place at Cheer Ltd.

Alli Wimberly from St. George, SC of the the Newberry College cheerleading team left Cheer Ltd. champions, taking first place this past Friday. Newberry scored 224.6 for the win.

Head Coach Lindsey Swygert said, "This team's constant drive and determination contributed a great deal to winning this Canam College Championship. Winning this competition was a great start to our season and the confidence we gained will help carry us through the next two weeks as we prepare for NCA College nationals April 7th and 8th."

The Wolves travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. to compete in the NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla., on April 6-10.
