Alexa Wood was hired as a Leadership Development Consultant

2016 Feb 19

Kappa Delta Sorority is pleased to announce it has hired 21 leadership development consultants for the 2016-2017 academic year, the largest traveling consultant group in Kappa Delta history. The group includes 16 collegians who will graduate this spring and five current leadership development consultants who were promoted to senior LDCs. Alexa Wood from Pickens, SC was hired as a 2016-2017 first year LDC. Wood is a member of Newberry College's Delta Mu Chapter of Kappa Delta.

"By increasing our consultant force to 21, we are able to provide greater assistance to our collegiate chapters and experienced mentors to first-year consultants," said Kirstin Barry, associate director of extension and consultants.

Current LDCs returning as senior LDCs for 2016-2017 are:

  • Cristina Attard (Theta Alpha-Quinnipiac)
  • Maribeth Broussard (Epsilon-Louisiana State)
  • Robin Brown (Eta Zeta-North Florida)
  • Hannah Ranowiecki (Sigma Kappa-Ohio State)
  • Gretchen Seeling (Zeta Mu-Towson)

"There isn't a better group of young women to build confidence in our collegians and inspire action in chapters across the country," said Kappa Delta National President Alison Jakes Argersinger.

The consultants will travel from August 2016 through April 2017 working to establish new chapters as well as aiding Kappa Delta's current chapters in operations, recruitment and leadership development.
